Passive Design Principles

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in my website, I'm very interested by passive design principles and sustainable building practices and products.

Passive design principals are based on
  • Passive cooling: using air circulation to decrease indoor temperature
  • Passive heating: harvesting the heat from the sun and storing it within thermal masses
  • Insulation/Glazing
  • Orientation/Shading
  • Use of the appropriate design in relation to the climate
If you want to learn more about those easy to understand principles (which will help you reduce your power bill) or if you want to discover some innovative and eco-friendly building materials and furniture, please visit these useful sites:

Please contact me if you want to know more about passive design principles and how to apply them to your home.

Cheers,
 Brigitte
